Fine-grained access controls based on user roles
Assume that an IT administrator in your organization receives around 100 access requests to business-critical information in a day. Manually analysing and determining if the request can be approved for each user is time consuming and tedious. Processing delay hampers the employee productivity. However, proper context is required to determine if a user can be given access, because failing to do so can result in serious security consequences and risks of non-compliance.
In large enterprises managing a lot of employees, vendors, and contractors, grouping and allocating access based on user roles is a useful approach. It helps businesses protect critical information, increase operational efficiency, and comply with industrial and federal regulations.
Minimize the risk of unauthorized access by restricting privileges based on user roles
Securden helps IT administrators allocate fine-grained access to users based on their job roles. There are certain default roles (with pre-defined privileges) into which users can be grouped. By default, the following predefined user roles are available in Securden:
-
Super administrator
-
Administrator
-
Account manager
-
User
-
Auditor
In addition to the above default roles, you can create custom user roles and define granular privileges based on needs of the organization.
